M&G Farms - Full Blood/Purebred Boer Does

The M&G Farms Boer goat herd began in 2001 as a 4-H project for Hannah. One boer wether, "Candy", earned 1st place at the Johnson County Fair, fueling her love for the goat project. Over the years as she expanded her Boer herd, she moved away from the commercial/market stock, as her interests more aligned with registered breeding stock. Our Boer herd is the oldest herd we have and although industry "trends" continue to change through the years, we still aim for the same consistent goals with our stock; sound, hearty, maternal does with solid confirmation and outstanding breed character. By breeding for these characteristics we hope to continue to produce does that are successful in the show ring and in the pasture.

We are beyond grateful to Sherri Stephens for allowing us to purchase Miss Glamorous in the fall of 2012 to start up our competitive percentage show doe string. She is the offspring of the 2011 IBGA National Senior Reserve Champion Doe, ONBG Bling Bling. Miss Glamorous possesses an outstanding package of power and femininity that judges have not been able to pass up! Miss Glamorous has accumulated over 230 ABGA show points over her show career. She has been given honors at the local, state, and national level, most notable being the 2016 North American International Livestock Expo Grand Champion Senior Percentage Doe.

Ice Queen has a gorgeous Boer head complemented with an elegant yet powerful and bold body. Get your hands on her and she is packed with power and dimension from front to rear and stands solid on a big and bold set of feet. Her best show days have really come as a senior doe as she has matured into a big, bold, beauty. With 196 ABGA show points to date and a gorgeous daughter in the ring as well, this girl has almost earned her “Doe of Excellence” status. With 196 ABGA show points herself, and two gorgeous daughters that are carbon copy's of their dam, this girl has well earned her "Doe of Excellence" status.

“MGF5 M&G Farms Body Like A Backroad”

Body Like A Backroad or “B.B.” as we call her, is by far the best percentage doe we have raised on the farm. A daughter of “Ice Queen” and “MADI Dirty Money *Ennobled*”, this doe was unbeatable in the 2019 show circuit and earned herself 129 ABGA points from May-August 2019. Her big footed, wide topped, structurally sound skeleton is complemented with outstanding femininity and style as she glides through the ring. Not to mention those dapple ears that always grab everyone’s attention. It’s hard to find a fault in this girl and we are ecstatic to see her kids in 2023 and get her back out there as a senior doe. It won’t be long before we are hopefully adding “Doe of Excellence” to the end of this girl’s name!

In 2018 we were looking for a nice yearling to add to our percentage string and came across this beauty of Jason Miller's at Lucky J Family Goats. FRan is a feminine, wide topped, three-dimensional doe that also has the length and good structural soundness to put her at the top of the class. Not to mention we love her pedigree as she is out of "AABG BAB4 Future Fan of the Man *Ennobled*"! Fran was very successful in the show ring earning her fair share of ABGA show points as well as Reserve Champion Yearling Percentage Doe at the Indiana State Fair.
